Certified RETScreen® Expert

Designed for those who have completed the Introduction to RETScreen^® course or have some previous experience with the software, the Certified RETScreen^® Expert (CRE) program is designed to help participants develop their skills in the analysis of all types of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Further, participants will develop a sound understanding of the new analysis functions provided by the software, such as the Virtual Energy Analyzer and the Portfolio Analysis Module as well as the monitoring of energy performance data.

The Certified RETScreen^® Expert program is a highly immersive and engaging 3-day program that mixes instructor presentations with hands-on activities and exercises in the software. Our goal is to build your proficiency with RETScreen^® throughout the course, culminating with the master case study, which serves as a review of the software’s features as well as the basis of the certification exam. Throughout the course, participants will also be given a series of short quizzes in order to ensure retention and comfort with the materials presented.

By taking the CRE course, participants can expect to grow their level of comfort and proficiency with the software and will be able to utilize it to perform an array of tasks from benchmarking to feasibility analysis, to the impact of a project on GHG emissions.
